Elly Partridge, M.I.F.R.
The first appointment is a little longer than subsequent appointments to allow time to collect information on your present and past health and lifestyle, e.g. childhood illnesses and vaccinations, major accidents or operations, persistent or recurring illnesses, and your present state of health and well being.
Treatment takes place with you sitting in a semi-reclined position on a professional couch or chair. You will need to remove only your shoes and socks. Your feet will be wiped with a refreshing solution and then examined. A relaxing foot massage will follow, and then the treatment will begin. No external aids are used, only the techniques of therapeutic human touch. The treatment pressure is increased and decreased according to findings and sensitivities. The treatment concludes with a relaxing foot massage.
How will I feel after a Treatment?
The bodies response to reflexology treatment is unique to each person. Most people note a feeling of wellbeing and relaxation after treatment; Some feel particularly energised; and some feel lethargic, nauseous, or tearful, but this is transitory and is a part of the healing process.
Feedback of your reactions to treatment is collected at the beginning of each subsequent appointment. This helps to tailor a treatment plan specific to your individual needs.
